Do you have admin rights to install new software. If not this may be the issue. |

Try running Install.exe from the same CD. _________________ Tim |

[quote="ukcommando41"]keep getting the error message -5009:0x8002802b. quote]
A Google search suggests that the error is connected with Installshield.
May be a dodgy disc. _________________ Navman ICN 520

Only other suggestion would be, if you have the space on your hard disk try coping the contents of the cd to a new dir on the HD. Then try running the install from there.
Its worked when some of our customers have encountereed problems isntalling software |

You've got it nortonbeak.
The problem was with installshield.
Searching for the code -5009 (instead of the whole error message) took me to a forum which had someone else experiencing the same problem. It was resolved by renaming the isprobe.tbl file so that installshield would automatically install a new and functioning version of it when its was next run. The path to the file is: C:/program files/common files/installshield/professional/runtime/isprobe.tbl I renamed the file xisprobe.tbl
Thanks everybody for you help, it was much appreciated.
