Have you extracted the files after saving them? _________________ Tim |

Save the file as an .axe file and then convert the .axe file to a Tomtom .asc file using Oldie's POIConverter. (A Google search will help, or click on Oldie's www button.) This .asc file will then import directly into the Navman POIEditor. |
ok i have done this, i used my home address and saved it as a test, and converted it to ascii and got it to go into my pois on my phone, and ermmm navigated to it even though i am at home and it said the poi (my home address) was about 6 miles away :-( but on autoroute 2005 it was right on top of the route? any ideas, i dont fancy doing about 300 garden centres if they are not going to be even close |

There is no Excel file. It is a .csv file and if you open it in Excel then you will corrupt it. You shouldn't have to add each and every line, the file should go in. Have you searched for any of your newly imported POIs? _________________ Tim |

If you just put your full postcode into AR2005 into the 'Find' box, where does it show it? _________________ Tim |

the post code is right on the nose (or door step) when i look at the pin on ar2005 it is exactly right, i have saved the file again and it still puts the location on navman 6 miles away? |

How strange. Occasionally one is a bit out, or can't be recognised by AR, but I can't think what's happening in your instance. I've made many files using this method and although I don't check every location, they are generally reasonably accurate of the few places I have checked. _________________ Tim |

When you've saved the file as an .asc, can you re-import it (the .asc) into Autoroute and see where the pushpin is? _________________ Tim |

i have just re done the push pin in ar2005 and then saved as an ascii and converted it and inserted into my navman as before and guess what
its bang on this time? although it did say i was in the street behind mine but then i was stood in the back garden.
i will try a few garden centers in aa2005 tomorrow and see how it goes
thanks for the help :D |
