|
|
Morning all,
I have been thinking of getting an SD card for my nuvi to put the mp3`s etc on, but on checking different sites I`m getting a bit confused with all the different types. Can anyone suggest a decent one at a reasonable price and how much memory will I need?
Thanks all......Dil
BY the way, is anyone using those stickers that come with the nuvi, re the GarminLock. _________________ ***************************************

As with most things concerning memory, the more you have, the more you can put on it. I have a 1GB SD in my Nuvi which provides enough space for 200 odd MP3 files. |

I'm not sure which brand to choose but the SD cards run at different speeds. Mate in work uses them for semi-pro SLR camera shoots.
I assume faster cards should be better in a sat nav unit. _________________ Never buy a stupid dwarf -

considering they're only really used for mp3's and/or photo's etc i can't see access speed making any difference. the unit won't write anything, only read, so unlike the slr camera that will need fastest speed possible to save the image, the nuvi won't...
kingston and sandisk are 2 big names. but to be honest flash memory is flash memory... the only difference really is warranty period.

Oh ok, it was just an assumption anyway.
I'm about to order a Sandisk SD. Would 1gb be enough for my new Garmin Nuvi 300 ?
I only want it to add POI etc and possibly add Euro maps in future. _________________ Never buy a stupid dwarf -
