Thanks Mike. Think I will be ordering one.
Remain a bit confused by the battery life claims. Is this in any way superior to its predecessor is is it just aesthetic?

That's what I am using currently but I have had all sorts of problems - top of unit falling off, end of car charger stuck in socket and it frequently needed the on off switch wiggling in order to connect. Hope the BT-359 runs a bit smoother.

I ordered a 359 from easydevices too; I picked it up yesterday. I have still to get it working with my iPAQ hx4700 though |

I can confirm that we have now received our very first shipment of both the BT-359W and BT-359S.
Both are in stock, however stock is moving fast as both are proving to be very popular units. _________________ www.easydevices.co.uk

Thanks to Easydevices.co.uk for fast trackable delivery. I ordered it yesterday morning and it was delivered 20 minutes ago.
One question, when pairing the device it shows it as a BT-GPS-335FE5. Is this normal? I would have expected it to show BT-GPS-359 but it could just be down to the chipset name as opposed to the product number.
Hint: When first pairing the device with your PDA it may appear to pair but not ask for a passcode. If you then try and connect, it will fail. I thought I had a dud. However, after waiting for the GPS unit to get a lock (flashing green light) I then paired it again, this time it asked for a passcode and I could connect fine.
Works brilliantly with an IPAQ 2790 with latest firmware and TTNAV 5. Sat in the centre of the house ground floor, I have 7 strong sats locked. I never even got a full lock with my Fortuna Clip-on with the xtrak f/w upgrade.
So far so good! :D |
The BT-GPS-335FE5 you see when pairing the device is the device code for your specific receiver, this is normally unique to the specific unit. Its handy to take a note of, especially if you go to a PocketGPS meet, when we did the firmware updates at Basingstoke I had to turn each unit on and off and track which item disappeared from my list of BT capable devices in range - think I had up to 100 items on the list! _________________ www.easydevices.co.uk

Sorry for the late reply; I have been at sea for a while. Yes I did get it working with the hx4700. |
