I have owned a TT BT GPS receiver for 2 years and it has worked fine without giving me any probs until yesterday. Suddenly the green LED will not flash and I cannot get a satellite fix - there is no problem in the connection between my ipAQ and the receiver.

It seems as though I am picking up one or two satellites when I look at the GPS screen on tomtom (now using TT5). And also every few minutes or so, the street will jump to the correct location and then just be stuck there for a while so there is some activity going on but not much.

I have tried powering down the unit and powering up again to no avail, tried switching everything on and off again but still having the same probs.

Any suggestions or is my receiver goosed? Any way of resetting the receiver?

If I need a new one, can anyone suggest a good bluetooth receiver for use with TT5? Even better if there is one which can connect to my ipaq/tomtom car kit for recharging purposes!

Thanks.

thanks for the response. Do you have any idea if the holux 236 or globalsat 338 will use the same power input as the tt gps receiver so I can use the same carkit & charger.
