|
|
I have an Acer n30 with TomTom Navigator 5 installed and have a Arkon CM885 Powered GPS
PDA Mount; they are connected together via USB cable attached to the port on the bottom
of the PDA and the data usb slot on the bottom of the gps mount. I am having trouble
setting the TomTom software on the PDA up with the Arkon GPS Mount, I presume you chose
the 'Other Cable NMEA GPS' device as GPS hardware, I set the baud rate as default (4800)
but am unsure which connection to choose for data transfer between the two devices, the
options are:
BT UART2
SC2410 USB Cable:
Com3:
S2410 IRDA2410
S2410 UART0
S2410 BT UART2
Bluetooth Serial Port COM6:
Bluetooth Serial Port COM5:
Any help appreciated. Jon. |

No I gave up and bought a Garmin StreetPilot i3 instead. Ended up selling the Arkon Mount on eBay. Good luck...! |

ps You sure you haven't got one of these funny windscreens that sort of, blocks the signal out somehow ? My wifes Ford KA has a heated screen which really plays havoc with the Arkon, so I bought her a blue tooth Holux 236 which is totally magic and so flexible...beats the all in one Arkon any day. |

With all due respect, 521 has nothing to do with it...a GPS receiver is a GPS receiver...it's in the settings or the car screen..I believe. |
