Looks like it's broken then! Case for returning it for replacement / repair. |

Hi BONDENO,
Do you have a screen protector on the TomTom ONE? If you do then it might be causing a problem.
Is your ONE's screen damaged in any way?

The icons had like a blue border around them, when you type a letter in such as a in address letters flashed across the address screen i never inputed i got xxxxxxxxxx in the address bar.
The reply from tom tom was
Thank you for contacting TomTom Customer Support.
Before starting, please make sure the battery for your TTOne is fully charged.
Please try to set the TTone back to factory settings, by going to 'Main menu 1 of 3' 'Change Preferences' 'Preferences 6 'Reset to factory settings'.
Please bear in mind that this procedure will erase all personal settings from the unit.
And allow the unit to get a proper initial GPS fix again by leaving it in a place where it can receive GPS signals properly for 45 minutes.
And please contact us again, when problem still seems to remain after the above instructions
The thing is will the shop take it back after 6 months i never sent my guarntee to tom tom i do have the receipt though, from Woolworths. |

You have a contract with Woolworths, not TT.
If it stops working then Woolies are legally obliged to repair or replace the faulty goods.
Insist! |

So - reading this literally, even CS are admitting that their standard advice (that they seem to give for every problem) isn't going to work! |

Just another thought, have you tried removing and replacing the SD Card, Just in case it's a dirty contact?
Also I don't know if this is relevant with a product that is six months old, unless you have previously notified Woolworth's of the fault.
