Nuvi 310D or 360?

Nuvi 360 has Text to speech which would help the wife when deciding whether that tiny road is the one the satnav meant or not.

Nuvi 310D comes with the TMC adapter

Both can be had for around £400ish

Which would you go for? I don't care about Europe maps, so should I just go for the basic 310?

Does the 310 show the name of the road you are about to turn into on the display ( so wifey could have a quick check anyway), or is it showing the name of the road you are currently on (not so useful)?

I don't know anything with regards the Garmin range except I have today been looking at one for £300 (approx) at Maplin Electronics and the map for my address does not exist (correctly that is).

According to the Garmin map data, for my post code, I not only I live in a different road but also a different area, although it would have got me home. (as my post code existed there before).

The road as shown does not and has not existed for the last 13 years (my house is now built on top of the old road).

Ive just bought a 310 deluxe with eu maps (on DVD) and traffic 12 add-on (which is the latest version). Ebay deal for £275 but you can get them at Halfords too for £399.

Since you get the eu maps anyway go for the 310 with traffic as it works a treat!

310 also shows street names on the map so they can be seen anyway. Even if you have text to speech you won't use it as you'll end up turning the annoying voice off for all except the most difficult journeys
