Hi,
apart from the ones on Ebay does anyone know of a padded case that will accept the i3 WITH the suction cup attached ,not bothered for room for batteries leads etc the smaller the better.....

This was a previous post of mine, but I haven't seen any more lately and wonder if they are discontinued?
Try one of the large Tesco's. I bought a large size velvety camera case and the I3 and windscreen sucker fit in nicely, and fastens down with a velcro fastening and also has a shoulder strap if you want to carry it. Before packing it away each time, I first use the case to wipe the screen as it acts like a chamois leather and gets rid of those nasty tell tale circles that entice the scum to smash your windscreen in the hope that you have left it under your seat. All this for the princely sum of £1.50!!! |

garmin have made one and will be bringing them out fairly soon. i had a fiddle with one at the edinburgh expo but the fella wouldn't let me keep it

definately not those! the official garmin case isn't out yet. it's a snug fit to the i3 so is the same shape and obviously only slightly larger to fit the i3 into and comes with a lanyard/strap for easy carrying.

I use a clear thick plastic Tesco "'KlipFresh container 920 ml round", which has a lid and four flaps to fix it on. Diameter about 14.5 cm, height about 8.5 cm. The inside I have lined completely with a folded soft cleaning cloth, which can wrap over the i3 plus mount, underneath the lid. Very solid, and you can put spare batteries and other stuff inside. Fits neatly in a shopping bag. Functional and protective, but no street cred (nor street theft!). Total cost: about £3.

My local Tesco had a camera puch that has a main compartment around the right size for the Unit and a small roundish pouch that will take the USB cable. There is just enough room for the lighter power cable in there too and cost under the tenner.
I also got a smaller cam case for my snooper S3 that is a very good fit for under the five.

Posted before Asda photographic section have a range of camera bags, i bought a Hama it is black with a blue top. the size takes the I3 with the mount also pouch at front for spare batteries. if you take the I3 into the store and make sure you get the right size.
i tend to put a lens cloth in the bottom of the bag and put the garmin in face down so i can get it out easily holding the mount.
