Just received my 'delivery' of Holux GPS Slim 236 from the ebay trader merchantrun. Ordered from Taiwan for a very good price of £48 delivered and was well pleased when I picked the sealed package up from the Post Office.
Opened the box (not sealed, but no signs of tampering) and NO GPS UNIT and no power charger! Just a box with a CD, power adaptors, and an instruction booklet.
Very strange. I contacted them over 24 hours ago, and the only response I have received so far is a request to leave them positive feedback.
Now I may be wrong but I have a very 'dodgy' feeling about this, and thought people should be made aware. It may be an innocent mistake and they may be backed up responding to emails, only time will tell.
So, no GPS and no satnav. Gutted! £48 for an empty box doesn't seem like such a good deal now |

It's a bit disappointing indeed, but you should probably give them a fair chance to sort the problem out.... _________________ Gone fishing! |

2 further emails (both very reasonable), and still no response so I've had to file a Paypal dispute.
I guess this thread should have gone in the Retailers to avoid forum, with the heading BUYER BEWARE! |

Ebay has it goods point and its bad, they are a lot of UK sellers who are dearer than Taiwan but atleast you can contact them and you are covered by UK consumer law. _________________ Regards

Hi Skippy,
The Nav4all package comes from Holland, is OEM with no CD manual or Mains Power Supply, but at least no risk of being caught for import duty. It may also come with outdated firmware v3.1.0. A reasonable price if you're happy with these limitations, but bear in mind that Clove seem to be offering full UK spec kits for £75, including delivery in the UK.
