Hi
If I download a map from the TomTom site for my TomTom One and I then buy a TomTom 510 will I be able to use the map I downloaded?
I'm considering buying the Canada map to download for my existing TomTom but at some point I might wish to upgrade my One to a 510.
thanks |

you are allowed to move the map registration from device to device seven days after first activation, and then every half year. You are not legally permitted to use the same map activation on more than one device simultaneously. _________________ Lutz

I didn't know that information either. Thanks for sharing. It's interesting that there are restrictions like that, but I can definitely understand why. I don't mind purchasing another map from Tele Atlas if I'm going to need it right away. |

Does that apply to moving types of device, e.g. to PDA? |

Yep
The EULA (your licence with Tom Tom to use the software) is the same for them all. You are only allowed to use it personally on one device. _________________ Peter
