how would i find out how old the map is i tapped in McDonalds in poi in exmouth and it came up with two McDonalds it took me where there was not one, but McDonalds is about 2miles from that location, so i tapped in the second McDonalds and that took me to another city about 6miles out.
im trying to find out how long McDonalds has been at exmouth and see how old the map is maybe the McDonalds had not been built when the map was done on the tt300 but i can doubt it
so far ive not had any problems accept the mcdonalds, every time i pass a certain point in exmouth it keeps saying its a roundabout its not and never been one if anything i would call it crossroads |

It is not the application or the map that is at fault here.
The problem is with the POI file that you have loaded, it is probably out of date, and possibly doesn't cover the local area too well. You could create your own POI file for the area including "food" stop off's such as these which would be more accurate - Mike |

It's a well documented fact that some of the POI that the TT has built-in, leave a lot to be desired. Which is why there are so many 3rd Party POI.
You can find out the Version of your Map by Tapping the Screen where the Sat Signal Bar is. This will show the Software Version below the Sat Count.
Tapping the Version Number brings a screen full of Data about the Device and the Maps.
Near the bottom is Map: Map Name Vxxx
Currently Maps are in the V6xx range. It varies according to the compilation.
Finally there will always be Map Errors. This is one reason we recommend that any you find, you Report. _________________ Richard
