Europe Map exchange / loan scheme....

Just a thought here.....

...but was wondering where we would stand if people could 'loan out' .... 'hire'...... etc etc....european map cards for a holiday period (max 2 weeks kind of thing....)

the map cards are very expensive and quite often people may only use them a couple of times etc etc....

even if they could be 'sold'..... and then sold back sort of thing....??

what do you think..??

ps... if anyone does have any european maps that i could 'borrow' ......

Sorry but I think you are treading on sticky ground here (loan, borrow, hire)?

TTs small print is very much the same as Microsoft's.
i.e. One product, One licence.

To do what you (and I) and probably many others would like to do would be illegal.

As this would mean giving out the serial number (activation code) along with a map of which you could then copy, keep and re-use later.

oops, I forgot to mention, I have heard that you can HIRE TTs for purpose such as holidays etc.
Obviously that is legal because you are using the original machine that the licence was assigned to.

I don't know where you can hire from, so you may have to do a little digging around.
