|
|
I downloaded the upgrade to my TomTom ONE's software, and it's now running v5.450
Unfortunately, that isn't on the list of Customised POI warning sounds for TomTom at www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-poi-alerts.php ... and there are plenty of warnings telling me not to use the downloads for other versions.
Is there going to be a warning sounds build for v5.450?
Thanks! |

I have a TomTom One with the 5.45 update and have tried to download the voice warnings only somehow the 'Gatso 70' is missing and another only I can't remember which one.
Anyway I used the 5.440 file in the 'Download Version Table'.
Have I chosen the correct file? I also tried the 6.020 file but this only resulted in my unit freezing.
Apologies if I have repeated a question that has already been addressed in this thread but I struggled to find it. |

It is generally not possible to mix them up. A version for 5.450 is now posted on the downloads page _________________ Lutz

This new one does NOT have a the most commonly used Gatso 70 warning but Polite 3 says "bought to you by PGPSworld"
Why, or why, does each new version use different sounds for each time of warning?
ie Gatso 30 on previous version was Beep 1, now it's Beep 2. |

Good quality real voices on Ray Flanagan's site
plus instructions to make your own; matching navigation voice skins and the extended POIW add-on to double the number of alerts available. |

They are very good additions to the TomTom from Rays site, however there is nothing (as yet) listed as compatable with TTGo vs5,450 so please be careful if you intend messing around with the device, you will probably find an earlier voice warning file (or your own creation) will not work with the new version - Mike |

We are still talking about spoken voices for the TT One 5.450 aren't we?
in which case the new data.chk file is indeed is here; http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-poi-alerts.php
but it does have these problems as mentioned above |
