Bit strange this one...
My App number on my 510 was 6.000 (6640/040301) OS: 1000 Boot 1.12.
After using the TTHome software and using the Login button to connect to the TomTom site, I now notice that this has changed to 6.020 (6690/060420) OS:1144 Boot 4.25.
BUT..... when you view the same information via the TTHome software ie on the PC screen, the numbers appear to be unchanged and 6.000,etc still seems be be there.
ALSO..... after connecting via TTHome, I have lost all the Verbal Speed Camera warnings I downloaded and the original data.chk file seems to have been restored, as the original TomTom sounds are back! 8O
Anyone shed any light on all this? _________________ TomTom 720

OK, you asked for it, here it is: The TTHome software is, uhm, suboptimal, and contains one or two bugs. _________________ Lutz

Well, its comforting to know that TomTom Home is not just a let down in terms of its user interface, but also is badly written
Excuse me being naive Lutz, but am I correct in assuming that apart from being able to view the TomTom screen through the Home software, almost everything else can be done via standard windows functions? _________________ TomTom 720

Have just realised that the Spoken Voice Alert data.chk file had not in fact been overwritten. When you use TomTom Home to set-up the Spoken Voice Alerts for the PGPS Camera POI, it appears to the user that the original TomTom data.chk file of silly noises is still in use.
However, if you do the same operation actually using the TomTom unit in your hand or in the car mount, the Spoken Voice Alerts data.chk file is still there! 8O
What a shambles TomTom Home seems to be and what a missed opportunity.
Anyone else have stories of TomTom Home's "capabilities"? _________________ TomTom 720
