...The other point is, where do you put the location point. Car Park, entrance road, middle of a runway. The choice is not always right for everyone...
I would have thought that when there is doubt, the most suitable place would be the entrance road to the Airport. From there, use the Airport signage to get you to your final destination. If an airport had more than one entrance, they could be given seperate POIs with appropriate names.
Hopefully, there will be Airport staff who could volunteer this information.

Personally I agree.

I agree with you, but I suppose it all depends on your point of view; a pedant will want it recording as accurately as possible, we realists just want the thing reported in the least confusing manner possible, but reported anyway - if that means not putting it in its exact location - so be it.
