Does anyone know if they are intending to launch a new version and when? By hti stime last year, we knew there was a new version coming... It's all these Go's that are slowing the PDA development down .... _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

The only point being, is that I am going to change if it's the end of the road for the PDA version....ridiculous. |

It's not the end of the road for the PDA version. We don't have a release date nor naturally do we know when the embargo will be lifted as they are one and the same.
However, intuition says it ought not be too far away. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Mike, thing is, it's likely that even TT does not know. The app is a hoary old to get running well enough to release, thanks in part to Winduhs Mobile lump o' junk. Remember what happened when 5 came out? The bluetooth stack still forces me a reset at least once a day. Why this hasn't been fixed, I do not know.
Good God, I wish TT ran on Opie.
But some here suspect a June release date (which likely means July or August).[/url] |

Having just read the previous post, I am glad I have given up on TomTom. I have gone elsewhere. I have been a customer since the good old days when thay were 'palmtop' I still lokk back with pleasure to the days when they gave service. _________________ Ipaq hx2750, TTN5, Globalsat 338 GPS, Garmin Nuvi 310D and GTM12, TomTom GO910 and now GO540

Not sure if this is a bit of a clue but a friend is after a 710 and I showed him the globalpositiongsystems site where it states Quote: | Due mid June 2006. Pre-order now! | I wonder if they plan to wait for TTN6. :P _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Have a look here http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk/search.php?search=710 and look at Availability.
Usually it would say something like TomTom xxx preloaded with TTN5 maps of ........ But no mention of 5 here, so maybe 710 will come with 6.
TT said the 2nd quarter for TTN6 so we have only June left. :P _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
