Hi :D
On my T5 I have a Tom Tom Navigator Version 4.420.
I've tried installing the speed camera database, followed all the instructions but can not get it to work.
Can the speed camera database be installed ?? and as anybody got it to work on a T5
Thanks |

Suggest you do search (maybe use Palm + cameras), because I am sure I have seen reports of people who have installed successfully on a Palm (one very recently).
I am not sure about TT4 though. TT3 needed a third party POI warner, but not sure if the same applies to TT4. (TT5 has got its own in built). Try going into "change preferences" then look for a category like "manage POIs" and see if that has "warn when near", or something similar. _________________ Peter

Thanks Peter.
Can download the speed camera database into the Palm One but then it comes up with a message saying "POICAP~2 can't be opened. No applications know how to open 000 files"
So at the moment it's not even working, the speed camera database and the speed camera glifs aren't appearing on the tomtom at all.
Thanks for your suggestions

Are you sure you are downloading, unzipping and then installing the cameras? POI Capture is a piece of software you can also get from this site that enables you to quickly record the position of new cameras (not on database) for sending to this site. However you do not need it for putting the camera database into your PDA.
Have you followed the instructions and downloaded a "small" zip file? When it is unzipped (on your PC) there should be between 3 and about 47 files (depending upon the version you chose). Each should have a file ending in .ov2 and another of the same name ending in .bmp. You then transfer those into your palm.
To see if TT4 has a "warn for POI" facility I suggest you do what I said in my last post by checking in TT. _________________ Peter

If it is POICapture you are trying to load, there is no point as it will not work on a Palm device, there is no SDK for this platform, the cameras should work in the way Peter has mentioned above - Mike |
