hi all im new to all this, but can anyone help, i have a navman icn 630 version 0.5.2 english, can this be updated to a newer version ? and can postcodes be added ? any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, and id like to say that this is an exellent site thanks |

Can you check the version? as I think there's a '3' missing from the front. There is an upgrade to V3, which is SmartST2005. £29 for the application only or £99 for newer maps as well.
You can put postcodes on as POIs (if you can source the files) but they slow the device down enormously and aren't worth the trade-off IMO. _________________ Tim |

thanks tim, but the version its saying on my navman is exactly how i printed it off the navman screen ? an i doing something wrong, ? cheers |

I can't think what! The version should start with a 2 or a 3 though, I believe. It is the 'About' screen you're talking about, isn't it? _________________ Tim |

tim if you can explain how i find out what version my 630 is that will help , i may have installed the map discs incorrectly as it sometimes seems to send me the wrong way home ?im baffled mate, but appreciate you trying to help |

yes its on the about page,although i have the original discs that say version v 2.3 any suggestions , can it be updated ? cheers |

Hi the version number you have stated earlier is actually the original v1 as thisis what i had what you haveto do is upgrade to v2 then upgrade to the latest which is smartst 2005 although i have been told by navman there is a new version coming out this summer but you need to get of v1 to upgrade to the latest versions |
