Can you confirm when you bought yours - I'm getting thoroughly fed up with Garmin and Maplin over this. Mine was ordered in December and I'm getting conflicting stories on availability.
Thanks |

E-Bowl accepted my order yesterday and showed the item In Stock. I've double checked with them today - it's actually out of stock (web site updated) and so my order has been cancelled
Now a call to GPS Warehouse for a GTM 11.
Thanks |

Yipee :D
I am now the proud owner of a Garmin GTM 11 coupled to my Streetpilot 2720. Installation was a dream - a good firm push to snap the antenna on, plug in the USB connector to the SatNav and hey presto after a 5 minute search I have a signal locked and traffic information starting to populate.
What more could I want - it works like a dream and even comes with a subscription for the French service which will be a bonus for our holidays.
Order placed Friday afternoon with GPS Warehouse, delivered Tuesday morning. |

I can source one of the units in the USA - is there any reason why it won't work in the UK? |

None at all, but you would need to buy an RAC-Live subscription for the UK which I think is $60. The UK model also comes with a French subscription as well so you need to consider these extra costs before making your decision. |

Mine shows RAC Live under Traffic - subscription
but it says not yet activated it will be activated when I have a GPS & TMC Signal, does that mean the subscription has already been purchased ?.
thanks |

hi,
i know that Garmin have a license from Trafficmaster, but on my Garmin Nuvi 310 in traffic menu it say RAC Live (lifetime subscription) and when the traffic button is clicked it shows traffic (all 100 miles away) and a 2D map view it shows some traffic, now on the navigation screen it does not show the traffic or has the traffic button for reroute.
is this because Garmin does not have a License with RAC live????
if i subscribe to traffic master would the above start to work????
last point i have a GTM 12 with my garmin is does not mention this on the traffic master website does it make a difference????

I'm not sure of the answers to many of the questions, but my UK sourced GTM 11 simply worked as soon as I plugged it into the GPS and locked itself onto Trafficmaster. I live near the M6 around Birmingham so I have no shortage of test data most days. |

RAC Live is Trafficmaster. http://www.trafficmaster.co.uk/shownews.cfm?num=307 If you have RAC Live you have Trafficmaster. I have seen traffic info on my 310's navigation screen if you go near a traffic hot spot. It shows the relevant signs too. You can set to avoid traffic in avoidances. Also, when en route if there is a traffic problem on your route, it indicates this on the map screen, and you can look at the problem and decide whether or not to avoid it. |

The RAC Live was on already. I think the message about activating a subscription is about any new subscriptions i.e. for new countries. It does say RAC Live : Lifetime subscripton |
