I downloaded the recent CSV camera files and now they announce underscores, comma's etc.
When I open the files up in excel to edit them, they appear to be in some sort of computer code???
HELP!!! |

Which File did you download, and which Device did you download it for?
Why do you need to Open the Files in Excel?
Are you sure you've got the right File? _________________ Richard

I have the latest Speed Zoned .CSV files here and they open correctly in Excel,
Displays 3 columns. Latitude, Longitude and Name.
In the name column is the camera No. and speed. _________________ Graham.

He has already said Quote: | CSV files for Pocket PC on Mio. 23 files I think |
Which would be the speed related CSV archive. Which I have downloaded and opens fine in Excel as I use it in Autoroute, and all the speed cameras import correctly. _________________ Graham.

What we need to know is what navigation software is being used. _________________ Tim |

I was replying with reference to the second part of his original post where he implied that the CSV file might be faulty.
But yes we need to know what Sat nav software he is running, I seem to recall that the problem of announcing @ etc. was happening in certain programs and the answer was to remove them from the database, hence his reason for trying to access it with excel. I think it may have been CoPilot but not sure. _________________ Graham.

Tim the question regarding his software was asked by Oldboy, at the beginning of the thread but he failed to reply to that in subsequent posts. _________________ Graham.

Hi Tim.
I have downloaded the OV2 file but when I unzip it and open it up it is complete gobbledygook!!
If I e-mail it to you do you think you could have a wee look and see if you have any idea?
Derek. |

I'm afraid that I have know knowledge of installing the database onto a PPC running Co-Pilot of any vintage. Do the instructions I linked to not work? Perhaps posting in the Co-Pilot section will be more fruitful. Sorry I can't be of more help. _________________ Tim |
