Hi darkosky,
to the forum!
I'm sorry, I don't know the M42 Variable Limit Gatso's Near Tamworth, but I'd guess that they would be active.
Which camera database are you using?
Is it the TomTom one or the PocketGPSWorld one?

I noticed these last week they were south bound and north bound between Tamworth and the turning to the NEC on the M42.
I run TomTom 4 on my PDA, i have the latest camera database from Pocket GPS World. |

I use CoPilot with the data base downloaded from this site - I am warned about the cameras, and have been for some time - so they are in there. |

I get many alerts through the Active Traffic Management area.
Is that the area you are talking about because it seems to me you might be a bit further north?
Nick. |

I regularly travel along the full length of the M42/A42 as a link between the M5 and M1, and have done since it opened; but apart from the services, and occasonally the M6, and NEC/Birmingham Airport junctions, I rarely turn off or join it, except at its ends; so the actual area names are not familiar to me. However I can say that when I last checked it (just a few weeks ago), the fixed camera reporting along the whole length of the road appeared accurate so far as CoPilot can confirm. I can't comment on any mobiles (missing or no longer present). |
