|
|
Hello
I submitted some speed camera updates, and have seen the april camera database on my work mate's tomtom. It "looks" like my submissions have been accepted, although there is a chance I could have been beaten to it!
I was wondering if I had gained free membership from this, but when reading your site, I get mixed messages.
On the camera submission page, I read:
Quote: | Any new static cameras you submit that are subsequently verified will either grant you a free subscription or extend your subscription. |
Which suggests you get free membership if you submit accepted cameras.
However in an FAQ it says:
Quote: | You must be a current paid member and your account must be active to benefit from this offer. |
This is giving me mixed messages.
Which is correct?
If the latter, please could you make the camera submission page much clearer. |

You must have a current membership to then have it upgraded to a full lifetime mebership. |

Does that include free membership? I was a site member, but not a paid user. |

No. You have to have a current PAID membership. |

Hi, we will be revising this page soon.
I can understand how you may not have spotted the "Subscribing to the site has many benefits. As a registered member you will receive:" There is a lot of information on that page! _________________ Robert Brady |

Thanks. I don't see any comment on http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Cameras that says that however.
it does say
Quote: | Any new static cameras you submit that are subsequently verified will either grant you a free subscription or extend your subscription.
|
Which suggests you will get a free subscription if you don't have one at the minute, or will extend your paid subscription to be a free one. |

Does this only work for static cameras? What about discretionary mobile sites? I have a new one that you don't know of. If I signed up as a 'paying' member and submitted that. Would I get lifetime membership? |
