|
|
here we go another novice to the site, but at least i read most of the posts first b4 asking the following.
so if ive read all the posts and replys to my query, i assume the following is correct yes?
i have a garmin i3
ive downed the poi loader
ive downed the poi's and the speed camera database
opened the poi loader and browsed for the files
then clicked transfer the files to the garmin i3
then waited
timer stops
poi's transfered
disconnect the garmin
find the poi's in the 'where to' menu, under 'food, hotels, and more'
then wait for me to exceed the speed limit so the garmin tells me of the closeness of the speed cameras
i presume when the camera database is transfered to the garmin, it does not show under any menu on the screen?

so does the normal garmin map tell you of nearby cameras

The cameras will appear in both Map and Navigation mode. |

Hi Folks
Just dowmloaded the speed camera stuff to my new Garmin C310 - I have read the posts but I don;t think they help me!
Its loaded into the Custom POI's and give me the following 30-G-584 4.2W I'm guessing it's a Gatzo 4.2 miles west, the first number (30) is the speed limit? and the othet number?
I can see it marked on the map, does the Garmin do something when I approach it? or is it like I have seen it only 'bings' when I speed past it?
Help!!!!! :D |

|
|
Not sure how common these are, but last Wednesday, I saw at a location where there is often a speed camera van, a police motorcycle!
The policeman had setup his camera on a uni-pod, attached to the rear carrier of the motorcycle.
I was tempted to take a photo of him, but he looked a bit mean !
Are these common? My first time to see!
