I have put all the speed cameras on my TT1 and all works just fine. I put the same files on my sisters TT GO and all worked fine afterwards, but today when using it, it crashed and would not reset at all.
I tried my card in her TT and it seems to work fine. I have now made a backup copy of her card, and transfered the entire contents of my card to hers.
It seems to work 100%
My questions are
1) Is it a coincidence that her TT crashed ?
2) Is there anything wrong with her using TT1 software ?

Yes if it's an illegal copy of yours.

I know it is frustrating but if the Go is under guarantee suggest you should get it fixed.
If not she can she speak to TT and explain. They may agree that she can send back the sd card with receipt etc and they will send her a new legitimate one.
Can't see it being the camera download, unless you accidently changed another file was doing the download

This needs clarification....
The software is freely available on the TomTom website, so copying that between machines is not illegal. Copying maps and files supplied with the maps (such as postcode data) IS (and could cause all sorts of problems in the future if either machine asks for an activation code). |
