Forgot to mention, I start Tom Tom before I get a fix.
When I have stopped at a petrol station, as power is lost, the treo turns off and the GR213 looses power. When I get back in the car and turn on the ignition, my BT carkit wakes up the Treo and as Tom Tom was the last program on screen, which starts off grayed out, but as soon as the GR213 gets a signal within seconds, Tom Tomgives me directions. For those Treo 650 owners reading this, I'm still using firmware 1.13. firmware 1.20 doesn't seem to provide this function or work with my BT carkit.(despite improved??? Bluetooth functionality!) _________________ Skoda Columbus and for emergencies: TomTom + iPhone 4 & TomTom car kit

no problems with mine either now since the unit was replaced, went to the states last weekend and got a fix by the time I connected my IPAQ - under 1 min
My third unit bahaves nicely after more than a week's usage! It doesn't show the cranking problems from before, which makes me think the voltage converter has been improved. I'm glad Holux fixed this problem in the end, but I still think they could have confirmed the problem immediately instead of denying it, which this thread has shown clearly. I would guess that this thread has contributed with some good input to Holux about the problem, even though the response has been nearly non-existent.
I have also learned that the company offering the lowest prices doesn't necessarily have to be the best choice. I was met by complete ignorance and incompetence from my first dealer when I told them about the problem I hade with this product. In the end (after several months of arguments) I got my money back (well almost the whole amount) and went to another company to buy the third unit.

I realise that most of the posters on this thread are from the UK or Europe, but I wondered if anyone else has gotten their GR-213 to track a WAAS or EGNOS satellite and use the SBAS corrections?
I have only seen mine track PRN 122 one time, and that was only for a few seconds, but it kept dropping track and never used the corrections. I had to use SiRFDemo to get it to do that.
When I bought it I had hoped it would use SBAS by itself from power up. I have other GPS units that track PRN 122 with no problem. Is this just me, or is something still lacking in the firmware?
