|
|
Hi,
My H6340 Ipaq has TomTom5 installed, and I want to set up the software so that I can be warned of speed camera locations.
In the past, Ive had problems configuring it so that I do not have to enable sound on the TomTom software BUT still want to hear forthcoming SC locations, it seems to be either or. Do I need a 3rd party utility for this?
It annoys me that I have to enable sound on the TT software in order to hear the SCs proximity alerts, as usually I prefer not having TT speaking to me. |

Go to www.tomtomsatnav.info and have a dig around in the Voice skins section, there is a "Silent" voice that you can load onto the device so you don't get navigation but you do still get the Warnings - Mike |

Its a shame that the 3rd party tools dont (seem to) work independantly of TomTom in this respect, whilst choosing a greyed out voice is easy enough, for true convenience Id prefer to just enable/disable TomTom's voice system, whilst keeping the alerts audible. As a workaround thats a good idea though, many thanks for that ![Smile](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
