Hubby just got a new Tom Tom kit for his XDA and didn't need the little black dash mount cup so I knicked it from him. I stuck it on my dashboard and now I no longer have to stick my 910 to the windscreen. The whole unit is now more compact and hell of a lot more stable . The speaker is still clear.

After a few problems with the mount, that seem to be the norm from what I read on here, my hubby had a think and came up with an idea which seems to be working fine the last couple of days to stop the unit from drooping.
He took an old plastic clothes peg and cut it down to just the end bit and put that on the mount by the ball part.
So far, the unit is rigid and does not move at all.
Hoping this might help someone - or has anyone else come up with any other ideas to improve it.
