can anybody tell me if the v605 or v632 uk maps will run on 5.1 or do i need to upgrade to 5.2

adamf wrote: | yes you might need to activate them first i did  | thanks for the reply, the reason i asked is, i am running 5.1 and my old map was v563 so i replaced it with the v605 and returned my favorate places to the map, but when i turned it on although everything worked ok for some reason it has erased about half my favorate places, ive repeated the instalation a number of times and it still erases them, the folder is 19mb in size when i add it to the map and it then reduces it to 9mb, got any idea,s??

all favs etc are stored in the map so if you change map etc you have to start again search the forum for which folder they are stored in .
this subject of backing up favs has been covered sevrel times  |

The favourites are stored in the cfg file. Not got my pda with me today but if you are using great britain map then the file you need to backup/copy is called something like greatbritainmap.cfg. Hope this helps, I can check my pda later if needed. |
