|
|
Just wanted to know if it's common place.
Only had the TT-1 for less than a month and it's been excellent, but today stopped at my modelshop, the usual switch off put away etc etc.
come back less than 5mins later and won't switch back on, I know it's pretty much fully charged, and after messing about tried the rest button and all is good.
Strangly enough when it came back on, it thought it was 11:20 last night and was at home. Had to sync the clock again but all is good now.
Is it just unlucky??
Thanks all |

I've had mine for 2 weeks and it's happened to me once. I found another forum which mentioned the reset fix and that sorted mine, but I was worried for a while. |

I to have had that problem.Makes you kind of nervous about the reliability of the unit though.
Posed the question to TT themselves and of course there was no response from them. |

The reset fix is by pushing a small pin into the "Reset hole" on the bottom of the TT next to the AC input socket by your SD Card (and hold for 10 seconds).
This has also happened to me once, right outside the PC World shop I brought it from as it happens, the sales guy said it was a common problem "a bit like a PC" and no, I was not amused. _________________ (If it ain't broke, I can soon fix it) |

Thanks guys will try this, this has happened to me now 3 times in a week after 6 months,i am still worried that there is something more serious wrong though as the screen icons acted weird for a bit also, the icons were moving across the screen by themselves. Was unable to programme anything in the tom tom untill reset.
The thing is i still have the guarentee i never sent it off even though i have the receipt from 6 months ago from woolworths.
I just hope its not knackered |
