I have downloaded the camera files all 23 of them to show the speed limits with the cameras and checked to make sure all the files r on the tom tom card and they are but speed limits do not show up plse help

go to change preferances/ manage POI/ Warn when near POI and set up each Speed camera for a warning then they will appear as you drive. (Write the list of 23 catagories down and tick them off one by one - it might make it easier to start with) - mike |

Hi Mike
Thanks for the prompt reply but I can only see the camera classifications in the poi list on the tom tom. I only see the speed limit files when I connect to the PC as the E drive

Have you un-zippped the download and then copied the 46 files across to the TomTom unit? - each file has an ov2 and corresponding bmp file. these files, when transfered to the device should reside in the GB Map folder, (or which ever map you are using), after that you need to configure the "Warn When Near POI" option as I mentioned above - Mike |

Thanks for that it looks as if I had only put Half the files into the map folder which I have now altered but something is wrong as I now have a graphic on the tom tom taking the card out and painting a crosss on it so I will reformat the card which is a 256 so should not be full, tomorrow and put the backup file on then have another go, thanks again will let you Know how I get on Chris 27 ceejay |

Now I am totally lost Ive just formatted the card and replaced the backup from before I started trying to get the speed limits read out and I still have the same graphic as on the last post

Hi Mike just to say thankyou for your help which together with backups seems to have solved all problems. Only tested on unit at present but Im sure it will be fine when live on the road regards Chris :D |
