I bought a TomTom One on Ebay and it was sent without the product code.
If I give Tom Tom the serial number will they supply a fresh code? |

I doubt they will as I suspect it would have already been activated by the person who sold it to you and the licence is for one user.. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Suggest you take this up with the seller. The unit could be a stolen one. _________________ Peter

The seller is currently selling a number of various TomToms on E-bay. They come fully boxed with all instructions etc, so I don't believe they are stolen! Although I regret buying it from him now because the photo of the items showed CD and product card, but was sent without them. Unfortunately the description did not include these items, so this is his get out.
When you account for no CD, no product card no USB cable and no guarantee I would have been better purchasing from new.
I find that the more I try to save money on various purchases on E-bay the more it rebounds on you.
Yet I never learn because I am still considering buying maps of Western Europe for the TomTom One on E-bay. |

Don't do it! The maps will probably be copied too. If you like throwing your money down the drain, fine. |

I would argue that the photo forms part of the description, for what arguing is worth with some of these people.

That's why I've never bought anything from EBay and probably never will.

That's a strange admission to be making. |

I'd go one further and suggest nobody purchases second hand software, from e-bay or elsewhere as re-activation or updating could cause problems later. The licence is for the original purchaser only. Buyers beware. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Pat C
Thanks for your support re the photo description issue.
I have a 100% blemish free record on Ebay since 2001.
The so and so has given me a negative because I gave him a neutral comment re the misleading photo.

At least you have the unit and you can use the maps for now. Hopefully it will give you a few years good service. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
