Pity the person who buys a 710 & finds a 510 in the box. :o _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

How sure are you that it is a 710? I'm wondering because I haven't heard of anyone stocking the 710 yet.
And I have already noticed that my 510 identifies itself as a 710 to my phone. TomTom have agreed this is a bug. |

Mine says the same but it is not a 710. I doubt very much that we have all been given a 710 by mistake _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2699lmt

I'm sure they are the same unit just supplied with different cards.
There is a file in the root of the SD card that identifies it to the computer when connected.
If you put a blank SD card in a connect it to a PC it sees it as a 710. Put the original card back in and hey presto its a 510
My phone identifies it as a 710 via BT as well. They have to be the same unit |
