|
|
Hi there,
Have just returned my first Tom Tom GO 910 to Maplins (mail order). It had the infamous poor connection with the mobile mount.
Before getting and trying another one from Maplins, does anyone know of anywhere with 910s in stock at a better price than their £469.99 (includes £30 off internet voucher plus free p+p)
Not flying for a while so cannot take advantage off the Dixons tax free price at some UK airports.
Cheers
Carl |

The dreaded PC World are selling them for £500. BUT in their spring/summer magazine (supposed to pay £2 for it but my local store was giving it away) there is a voucher for 10% off all sat navs costing over £299 vaalid until some time in June I think. So price you pay is £450. _________________ Peter

I refuse to buy from anyone who uses 2u or 4u in their company name, on principle. Toys'r'us I could just about tolerate, but I have no need to visit there any more. |

A good principle I'd say!
(And it wasn't even "Toys'r'us". It was "Toys '[backwards r]' us". That was enough to put them on my hate list. :x |

I tried to buy from dixons taxfree at heathrow but they were useless.
they had no stock, and refused to deliver one when they had stock.
they said I had to be in the airport when they had stock, then they'd deliver. If I wanted to ring up I'd have to catch them on a day with stock, and be flying out in the following couple of days for them to hold it for me.
blooming annoying!
anywhere got it for near the dixons price? Don't mind paying a teeny bit more - I'm surprised as most internet places usually sell electronics at the same price as dixons tax free - is it because its new? Will it drop over the next 3 months? |

Will it drop in price, most definately, how long will it take who knows. But you can be sure that by christmas the price would have come down by at least £50.
Anyways keep an eye on this page http://www.find-tomtom-deals.co.uk/new_models and http://www.find-tomtom-deals.co.uk/ for the old models as these guys seem to be on the ball with getting the best deals.
Regards
