And my best advise is to stick with it untill this mess is resolved.

I think I will uninstall 3.00 back to 2.7 and then manually upgrade and see if I can get a better audio version. I did have a later version, but I think that the new webupdater is gtaking it back to 2.00. A lot of our voice prompt issues could be resolved if we knew how to get 2.3. Web updater does not offer any updates

Manual update Beta 2.82 to 3.00 webupdate all the audio files and default set to British result still Audio version 2.00

Don't bother wasting your time my I3 now spends more time connected to my laptop than navigating .
No wonder on the advertising blurb on the Garmin site it is likened to a baseball you just feel like throwing it away when it starts playing up.

If you are looking for a stable system you should not load any update before positive backup in the forum.

I like to see what is new. But I know that I take some risk. I never had any major problem with my i3. Only problems where:
- POIS mixed up in V2.82beta. Solved in 2.90.
- Grammar error in german language. Solved in actual version (3.00 + audio 2.20

It's true, there are some strange thinks about language update. But this did not stop me to appreciate the device.

I think you'll find that TomToms have their own 'peculiarities'! Laughing

Does anyone know if there is an issue with ver3.00 of the Garmin i3 software? My speed camera POIs worked fine until I updated my i3 to ver3.00. Now it doesn't show any Speed Cameras.
I've tried reloading the POI via the Garmin POI Loader twice in case the software update erases any POIs, but still no luck.

Anyone else had similar problems or are the cameras ok on your version 3.00?

Well I've tried reverting to ver2.7 and the camera POIs still don't work. I've tried the single file and the seperate file, but still no joy.
I don't get it, whichever file I use, the POI Loader tells me I have succesfully loaded 9 thousand and odd POI. Out on the road........no camaras displayed or warnings given. It used to work fine??????? Crying or Very sad

audio version now gone back to v2.0 very weird, anyway no issues today driving about in map mode except in the town centre with the echos from the buildings but stayed with in 40 feet of actual, so me staying with 3.0 for a bit longer.

I've just purchased a i3 as a stop gap solution due to my disappointment with the GO 910, my initial impressions are very good especially at the price £125.

Am I correct in thinking there are two version of the i3, the original that shipped with the map data on a 256Mb memory card, and the one I've purchased no SD card as the maps are stored internally?

The new version shipped with V8 maps, v2.7 software & V2.3 Audio.

Just used the WEBUpdate and the update applied was V2.9 not V3, have they reverted back a version, no audio update?

Just re run the WEBUpdate, and this time there was a message saying there's further updates, selecting yes to continue identified a new Audio update, now V2.4 audio.

3rd run of the WEBUpdate, no further updates, so it appears V3 is no longer available ?

Hi all,

Right, used the i3 today with work trying to find houses in the wilds of anglesey which was covered in mist , visibility was terrible. Put in postcodes and to be fair it got me where I wanted to go, the problem was it kept telling me when to turn about 4 to 5 hundred yards from the junction, if I hadnt have known the roads reasonably well god knows where I would have ended up but it did get me there. So I have to go out to a small village in the mountains tomorrow so I have gone back to ver 2.7 and re-loaded the april poi`s. We will see how much difference there is.

Also sent an e-mail to someone I have had contact with before and asked regarding the audio updates as mine is on 2.0, reply was that he thought it best to manually download updates and that the audio updates would be included, so I manually put in ver 3.0 and checked the audio....still on ver 2.0. Anyway I have now manually put in ver 2.7 again and will check the difference tomorrow.

Regards....Dil
