Hi all,
Got an Acer with destinator lite, not the best so no have bought TT5. Fine although couple of probs. Firstly, took a while to install, but with the help of these pages it was achieved. Great, I thought.
My problems at the moment are that the backlight will not stay on when TT is running (or very intermittently), avantgo is playing up as is synchronisation and it does run slowly. Now, I could well imagine that these are all due to the fact that it is on a 256 sd card and i have read about 6 threads that have metioned 1gig cards. Should I invest or should it be able to cope with 256. I have turned POI to show when in the vacinity (I think).
I have loked at about the first 15 pages of threads so if there are answers beyond then i will keep looking.
Any ideas would be great....cheers Del 8O |

TTN5 does seem to have a problem with the backlight on Acer N35. If on external power there is no problem, but as soon as it is on battery only the backlight does dim.
I have tried , with no avail, but it seems we are stuck with it. But that aside the Acer works well with TTN5
Never have used AvantGo as I use ActiveSync |

I might be stating the obvious and I appologise if this is the case, but you might not be aware so hear goes.
With the Acer you can change the backlight settings, which are different for battery and external power.
To do this goto
Settings-System-backlight
Here you have the option for the time delay before the backlight is automatically switched off and also within the Configure tab, you can change the brightness settings for the backlight in both modes.
Hope this is of some use. _________________ Mikey

Cheers Mikey, I spent the morning reinstalling everything, so know everything works fine and quicker too. I am pleased. I know about the backlight settings and have tried all sorts. However, now when I navigate to somewhere and the screen is dark, I simply push the directional controller to the left and the light stays on for the duration of the journey. Dont really know how or why but it is sorted now.
Good luck |
