hi
I have a small problem (with tom tom ) perhaps someone has an answer.
If I put in a destination, and for some reason I dont go there, how can you clear the destination . At the moment lets say going from a to b, but change my mind and go to C, I still get directions to b, but i dont want to put c in as a destination as I know where that is.
rgds
Bill
ps if anyone is thinking of buying one I have the 700 and once u have your head around it, its good. |

Clear route is on one of the menu pages.
Choose 'Clear route' if you'd like to remove the currently planned route from all views. From this moment on, your position will still be tracked on the map, but no instructions or guidance will be provided. |

Question: My father has just bought the 910. Is it normal for the screen updates to be much slower than they are on the TomTom One? The TomTom One seems to happily update the screen several times a second. The 910 seems really slow and it's only once a second (if that) and seems to lag a bit behind your real position. A bit disappointing as it has a faster processor I think. Perhaps it's not coping too well with the higher resolution screen. |

The Lag is if to many POIs are set to be displayed,
If you go into POI Settings and untick all the POis marked for display and you will find the refresh speeds up to the same level as a TTOne |

Megga help needed!
I have switched it on and it is all in German - I had to click on the first screen and then it went straight to the navigation page all in German - how can I change the language to English!
When I shut it down it just restarts back in German. |

I pre-ordered a 510 from Maplins, it seems that loads of other shops have them in stock and my wife is getting cheesed off with me ringing from work asking if it's come yet.
The website says that orders are despatched with priority, might have to cancel and find another supplier.
Like waiting for Santa
I want to play as well |

Got mine today and used it for a trip into portsmouth. Have to say I am pretty impressed. When I switched it on it asked me for which region, so I put western Europe. If I go to Canada how do I change it over? I managed to Sync it with my orange SPV600 mobile, works fine. Shame the 910 is not supported for reading out Text messages for the SPV but thats life. Has anyone tried using the hands free without the microphone attachement yet. According to the instructions it should work without it.
Just one other thing. I got this credit card thing with the product codes on it. I presume as the 910 is working and I uploaded the latest drivers from TomTom via my PC, that I do not need to do any other registering. Is this correct? |
