Ha ha,
Just seen the TomTom rep and got some info.
The New TT v6 will be for both mobile and PDA version in one.
It will have the same features as the new Go range
The Go range will be able to update their software to the new version aswell
Should be released in June |

Well, I remember the release of TT5 and this Forum went into Warp-drive. We had everything on the topic, grumbles, complaints, abusive remarks, and even threats of contacting the consumer magazine ‘Which’. In fact we had everything except sex. You can be sure of one thing, it will all happen again if and when they release TT6. It will get very exciting. Cant wait. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

June!?! I just bought TT 5 on April 2. I hope they give us more than a 90 day free upgrade window. |

The TT Program is always free (up to now anyway), it's just the Maps that are charged for. _________________ Richard

Yes, but up until now it has not been possible to use new software on old maps... unless you know something different on this release

On the Go's it was possible to use the First Generation Maps, (they were V314 and V390), with V5.xxx and they were first used for V4.xxx sopftware.
So it is feasible that TT will use similar Map Compilation (to save cost), and the same will happen. _________________ Richard

I never knew that. Then again my experience has been exclusively with the PDA versions not the Go versions.
