POI help please

I am not sure if this is the right forum to post in, so forgive me if incorrect. I am trying to find web sites which may have UK POIs such as UK Schools / Hospitals etc.. does anyone know where I may wither download or buy these from ? I want to use them on a Garmin who have released a POI converter program but I cannot find this data anywhere.

I did a Scottish Schools POI (about 3000) and a Devon Secondary Schools POI (400+), and it takes quite a time. There is a Hospital POI in the pipeline, but I'm not sure if I'm going to enjoy it.;)

which garmin unit do you have? i know the newer units (i3, nuvi's) have a load already built in to them like hospitals etc. not schools though...

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, it is a Nuvi 350, it has most POIs but as an Ambulance driver schools and hospitals are a key thing I am missing - it does not seem wit have all the hospital either.

Oldboy - how did you do these ? Where did you get the information from to compile the POI data ?
