Hi,
Does anyone know if this site has it's own database or is it ripping off and selling the great PocketGPSWorld database. It seem's to sell on other Tom Tom add ons which to my knowledge were all free on the web.
http://www.gps-addons.com/
Is this something we need to worry about.

Its good to see that they managed to get Marilyn Monroe to do all of those sat nav instructions before she died.
I suspect the rest is just as genuine. _________________ Peter

I don't think it was such a good idea to post the actual link of the website here as the database is actually copyright protected.

I'd not worry too much about whats available there - its woefully out of date, and an out of date database is as much use as a chocolate teapot. _________________ --

I don't think there's too much to worry about there. One of the downloads has Co-Pilot 5 and Destinator 3 Files in a TomTom download.
The other data Files seem very inadequate and imcomplete. _________________ Richard

They are also ripping off TomTom with their camera POI's voices etc as well as a number of other sites, I supose its down to the individuals own conscience as to what they are comfortable with on their machine, out of date pirate versions for free or the correct data that is up to date with a marginal cost attached - Mike |
