Can anyone help me. I have followed the instructions exactly for downloading the POI speed camera files for TT GO 300, but the file file with extension .BMP (e.g. pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.bmp) is not showing in the download. Therefore I cannot load into my TomTom. What could I be doing wrong ?

When you download the files, save them to the desktop. This will create a compressed folder on your desktop. Double click the folder and another screen will open with the individual files. Each speedcamera category consists of 2 files. One is the OV2 file and one the BMP file.
On the second toolbar down,at the top of the window, you have the back and forward buttons then Search, Folders and Views. Views has a drop down menu showing thumbnails, tiles, icons, list and details. In all the views apart from "details" in the drop down menu, the BMP files are shown without the .bmp extension at the end, although the .ov2 ones are shown in full. If you want to be certain, select "details" and you should see the .bmp extension. You need to transfer onto your TT the ov2 and bmp files for each category to make them work.

Only if you still have Windows Explorer and My Computer set to the default behaviour of "Hide Extensions for Known File Types"
This is another example of Bill Gates "helping" by hiding useful information from users. In Windows Explorer, go to Tools / Folder Options / View and make sure it is UN-ticked (12th line down in Windows XP).
