I know this is probably a stupid question, but do the .ov2 POI files work on a TomTom ONE??

Everywhere I see the .ov2 files, the accompanying discussions only ever seem to refer to TomTom GO devices... so I'm confused.

Yes they will work the ov2 data format is for ALL TomTom devices, just bear in mind there is a limit as to the number of "custom" POI's you can install - I think its 39 so don't be tempted to load hundreds, stick to the ones you realy need - Mike

Thanks.

Also, is it possible to capture custom POIs from the Tom Tom ONE? You can store favouries on the device, so maybe you can get the data from those, and convert to POIs on a PC?

You can indeed. Just create your Category, (there is an Option in Manage POI), and in Browse Map you can Add as POI. It adds the POI Location at the Flashing Cursor Point.
