Anyone know what the latest TomTom Map version numbers are.
Naughty TomTom don't list the version on their site so there is always the possibility that you buy the same version that you already have.
I have Great Britain v605
and Great Britain Plus v632
Anyone know what the latest are.
Thanks |

How can you tell what map version you have? |

It is listed on the "About" screen, and you can also peek into the .PNA file - it's the last line. _________________ Lutz

i currently have v532 maps. Is it worth upgrading to these newer versions? Is there any difference (UK wise) between the v605 and v632
Thanks. |

Yes there are differences. I have V572 GB Plus (bought last month and advertised as "with latest maps") but v605 GB has an amended layout of the A1 beside where I live included.
Whether it is worth paying for 605/632 current maps or waiting for the version 6 upgrade to be available is up to you.
What I always find odd is that people say "there are not many changes" but the whole point of Sat Nav is that you can find your way round areas you are not familiar with. I dont want to be sent the wrong way down one way streets, off cliffs etc.
I am currently having a dispute with the suppliers as to why they advertise "the latest maps" and yet supply maps that are not current with no indication of the map versions on the packaging. Not a happy customer! |

Near where I live V605 has been downgraded!!! Roads have been changed on the 605 map that should not have been changed. No plans for the roads to change either in the foreseeable future. Again this highlights that it is not always worth buying the 'latest maps'.
This has been discussed on here numerous times and I think Lutz commented on numerous errors aswell.
Shame you can't 'try before you buy' |

I purchased downloaded and installed yesterday what I believed to be the latest UK maps.
The system shows it to be Great_Britain_Plus_Map v 571.
This appears to be several versions out of date, have I been diddled by TomTom? _________________ Leigh

I would query that with TomTom. I bought a Great Britain Plus map about 3 weeks ago and it is version 632

Thanks Robin,
I will look into it.
The upgrade seemed to install onto my Mio, but I suppose it is possible it did not upgrade the map? _________________ Leigh

If you have a card reader, it's best to install it straight onto the storage card (after first removing your earlier version of the map)
