I have got the packard bell gps 400 with destinator nd, and have just put all the speed camera and red light files onto it. I have also added the relevant bmp files for the camera and light icons, and also the "warning, speed camera" wav file.
I have renamed these files to be the same as the corresponding camera files as insructed in a previous article but still my gps 400 gives me the "favourites alert" voice message as well as the the "favourites alert" text on the screen.
The relevant icons are on the map however.
How do I make it say "warning, speed camera" and give the relevant icon?
Mostly about Destinator v3, but if the file structures are the same in ND you could try the same changes (after taking backups of course!) and let us know how you get on. _________________ Acer n35, Destinator 3.0.75, Destinator 6
I have put the red light, gatso, icons as bmp files into Destinatorapps\Destinator\Common\Favorites and also named the "warning speed camera" wav file the same as the relevant files in "favourites" ( gatso, specs, redlight) and put these in Destinatorapps\Destinator\Common\Interface\Voice.
I know this will give me the same warning for all camera types, but I am still getting " favourites Alert" voice and text warning.
The small gatso icon, redlight icon appear on the map where the camera actually is.
Gatso_camera_ahead.BMP is in \Destinatorapps\Destinator\Common\Favorites
Gatso_camera_ahead.csv is in\Destinatorapps\Destinator\Common\Favorites
Gatso_camera_ahead.WAV is in \Destinatorapps\Destinator\Common\Interface\Voice
and obviously the same applies to the others.
Is this correct, or should there be something else?
I have just managed to get a file that says,"check speed, you are approaching a speed camera," and actually got my sat nav to say this by renaming the wav file as 141, which was the "favourites alert" warning.
This just means that I get the same warning for all types of camera though.
