Is there a speed camera database suitable for the 60csx. I don't think the standard Garmin ones for the likes of the i3 etc. will work.

I'm told the 60cx can use the standard Garmin POILoader version? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Ahhh great. I have just bought one but not seen it yet. I was expecting to load them onto the microSD card with a card reader. Must be the same system as the i3 I have just bought.

Hi, I've got 60CSx with 512MB card and loaded the speed camera dbase via the Garmin POI loader. all was great. :D It loaded correctly and I could see gatsos local to be. However, when travelling, having the dbase loaded totally screwed the mapping. The maps didn't update as I moved along, I regularly lost GPS lock and had to switch the CSx off/on. Unloaded and reloaded...still the same. Eventually unloaded the POI speed cameras and all returned to normal with the CSx. What did I do wrong...or is the dbase not compatible with the 60CSx |

How many speed cameras did you load?
I can only load 1000 on my 60CS [I think that is your limit as well]
When I load 8000 speed cameras into the iQue 3600 the 'map redraw' is as you describe! The unit cannot cope. That is why I have listed the iQue method on the left navigation bar. |

Thanks...I did it with the total speed camera dbase from this site, so i presume that will be the 8000. I'll try the smaller file and see how i get on

Do i need to do the bit about Birdwatch etc, or just upload an edited version of .gpx with <1000 cameras [waypoints]?

Birdwatch is not for the GPSMap 60 series, it is for the iQue 3600 [as is the whole topic - use only the relevant parts] |

Hi...ok I've put on the 9000 camera overlay and can see the cameras as I approach them...Great so far. :D
But how to you make them cause an audible alarm.
I've ticked the box in Proximity for audio but no joy.
Any help gratefully received!! |

Not possible!
It is only an 'overlay' with 9000 marine icons not 9000 waypoints/POIs.
If you find a way - sell it!!! |
