Hi, I have had a Haicom 303-mmf for about a week now and have been very pleased with it. I have been using it in mouse mode, taking it indoors each night and during the day while at work. I went to use it this morning and found that I could get no life from the GPS in mouse mode. It works fine if I put it into my Ipaq 2210 in CF mode. I know the general cable has power because it is charging the Ipaq.
I did finds a few times I connected it, I had to push the firewire cable fully home into the unit before it would light. Last night I used the GPS in CF mode for the first time since I have had the mouse cables, and no joy when trying to return to mouse mode.
Is it possible that settings would stop the Haicom from powering in mouse mode?
Is it more likely to be the cable or actual GPS at fault?
Any assistance would be greatly received.
Regards, Chris. |

If you had to push the connector in tight to get it to light up, it sounds like the socket may have come lose off the circuit board, or a connection has broken. |

I don't think there's any way of switching the mouse interfance off because HaiCom don't supply any other software with it to customise the Haicom GPS features in any way. |
