as i was driving from brighton 2 london i thought i would try my co pilot nav with the speed cam database, well thank god i have my snooper s4 as well, what a load of rubbish that kept telling me gatso gatso, but there were no gatsos there, even on the motorway it was alerting me 2 gatsos,,can anyone tell me why,and i tried it again in notting hill ladbroke grove and again telling me gatso gatso but no gatsos, i think i will stick with my snooper its more reliable than the database,,any comments would be appreciated |

Have you set your GPS Safety cameras to show a certain distance from where they are?
If so, you will get a warning if the cameras are within that distance even if not on your route. If you have visual warnings, a quick glance at the screen will show you where the camera is, probably a side road or a road parallel to the Motorway.
Can you set it to 'Warn on Route'?
This will stop false indications but there is a down side. Cameras on bridges. The bridge will not be on your route and you would get no warning.
Overall I've found PGPSW's database to be near perfect. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Jamsie,
Did you download the database files from this site? Get in touch with one of the mod's and I'm sure they will help you sort it out.

Several thousand miles with the database and no problems here (even done London to Brighton a few times)
Are you sure they are all Gatso warnings and not Red Light or Mobile warnings? |

Also each warning should have an identity number ie. GATSO: 12345@40 where 12345 is the camera ID. Perhaps you could tell us which cameras are being triggered but don't exist.
Finally is it the database from here and where did you download it from? |

James,
When you have the camera locations submit them via the web page on this site designed to do just that. On top of this, once they are verified you will earn yourself life membership. Be patient because it takes a while to verify.

| And there's a good chance, if you're the first to report them as new, moved or removed, you'll get free downloads in future.

Maybe POIEdit? In which case you got the last free download which was January, there have been a number of database changes since then. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
