Not defending PGPS at all ... but you really need to keep things in perspective. If you get this wound up over such little things ...
Sit back, chill, accept you pay £19 per year for the database, submit cameras without expecting to get free membership. Sooner or later you will probably get lucky
Kind regards,

All that I can say is hang in there, I got free lifetime membership only 3 weeks ago for a camera I submitted at the end of Feb. The system works if a little slow but I think they are working on that

Perhaps you weren't the first. Plenty of people here have got their free membership.
I would ask the PGPSW staff on the quiet first before slinging your wild accusations. |

kadhim - you haven't read the rules properly - it's not allowed to have opnion contrary to that of the site admin (or PaulB2005).
although "conmen" may be a little harsh! |

kadhim's opinion is wrong. I have my free membership after contributing a number of cameras and still continue to contribute.
It's not a matter of having an opinion contrary to the site admin (or even me - but then I'm no-one here) - just kadhim has made a wildly dangerous accusation that is blatantly false in the face of the fact so many have received their free membership.
I didn't say you can't have a contrary opinion - but this is just totally and utterly factually wrong. Even libellous. |

There are plenty of us who have free lifetime memberships for contributing so calm down.
If you read what it says you must be the first to notify a new static camera and it then must be confirmed this will obviously take time. I assume you are already a subscriber with the latest database so what's the rush?
Nick. |

it takes time to confirm that the camera's submitted are actually real, hence the delay. if you have any queries feel free to PM one of the admin team.
i can assure you loads of people have had their free membership! just be a bit patient!

Sometime last year I reported a camera showing 30mph when it is in fact 40.
Never thought any more of it. I was somewhat surprised to be offered, and given, a free lifetime membership.

Well iv been conned if ever you needed some proof..
ok so they give somepeople the free mebership but im sure the majority of people who submit new cameras and are the first ones etc..never hear from them or choose not to speak out about it...sorry to burst your bubble but iv figured you gys out.. only if you guys put as much effort in giving people who deserve a free mebership as you do catching people trying to sell your database on ebay then we would all be happy. |

I agree - I think an apology is due calling the owners of this site conmen because that is a very far cry from the truth.
And no I don't have free lifetime membership........ _________________ Thanks,

I got my free membership too. It didn't come through automatically, but when I sent in the acnowledgement e-mail from when I initially submitted the cameras, my free membership appeared in about half an hour. Hardly the actions of conmen. |

I agree, apology is due. Maybe also an apology is also due to the people who have dissagreed with the charge in one way or another and have been the but of comments like:
whingers
leeches
close the door on your way out
Some people know nothing
I also have not got free life membership and am quite happy to pay a charge and contribute if I can. I just have my doubts about the amount.
Like I've said before. Everyone is entitled to their opinion without being called names. _________________ Holux231, XDAII Copilot 6, 1Gb Lexar SD Card |
