For those of you who have received the Perfect 12, this won't be of much interest, but for those of you who are still waiting to see a perfect 12 satellite fix, then this is for all you out there.
I tend to get a 12 sat fix, probably about once a month, but I don't always keep my eyes peeled on the GPS Sat Status, so it's probably a lot more frequent than that. It all depends really on the GPS Receiver you have, the optimum conditions you are in e.g. not receiving any multi-path errors (rebounded signals), clear view of the sky, no ionosphere problems.

I see 10 satellites 2-3 times/week around the local area when the weather is good; the lowest I've ever seen on the drive to work (when I have it connected just for fun) is 7. |

My new Bluetooth Rikaline 6031 X7 gets ten satellites several times a day, but does have the classic Xtrac lag (although it doesn't own up to being an Xtrac device) |

Some may think we at Pocket GPS World are a good team of friendly people. Well, not quite... we're a bunch of jealous folk that can't stand it when someone else is claiming to get better reception. I had the "twelver" much earlier as can be seen in the TomTom 2 USA screenshots:
