I think I must be realy thick because I am having real trouble downloading the speedcamera database. I have the files and I have copied them to the tomtom one great britain map folder but how do I know if when I am driving the information is on the tom tom and will recognise the cameras and alert me, please help I am pulling my hair out. |

Once they are in Tom you need to set up TT so that it warns you. Go into change preferences / manage POI / Warn when near POI. You then choose the POI you want the warning for from the list. Once chosen it will prompt you for a distance from POIn for the warning and then a warning sound. You keep doing that for all of the POIs you want warning of. _________________ Peter

thank you I have finally done it!!! - I eventually copied the files to the tom tom one at a time and then found the POI in there - fantastic - your help was much appriciated and I have even set the alerts - what a happy person I am now!! :D |

To make yourself even happier I would suggest your replace Tom Tom's stupid bells and whistles with a real spoken voice that will say "Warning Gatso ahead speed limit 30 mph" etc.

Don't forget you can also run a demo of a route, so you can check your cameras and alerts are all working without having to actually go out driving. |
